HoverAid is an international federation of HoverAid offices, running development programmes in Madagascar and emergency programmes elsewhere in the world. HoverAid offices in the UK and The Netherlands engage in raising support for its programmes, provide technical input, and act as advocacy channels.
The vision of HoverAid is to establish long-term hovercraft services and to provide development and humanitarian assistance to communities not yet reached by other organisations. In Madagascar, HoverAid operates three hovercraft. The team in Madagascar consists of 17 people. The supervisory board of HoverAid Madagascar consists of 7 Malagasy nationals and HoverAid Madagascar is currently constituted as a registered subsidiary of The HoverAid Trust (HoverAid UK).
The hovercraft provide access to remote areas of Madagascar for Church and mission groups, relief and development agencies and other Non Governmental Organizations (NGO's).
HoverAid is a Christian organisation aimed at serving unreached communities. We expect the candidate to share the same vision and to have a supportive attitude.
